FM Synthesis on DOS

The AdLib Editor is a powerful tool for creating and editing AdLib Tracks. With its terminal-based UI in DOS, it allows fine-tuning of FM synthesis parameters, managing .INS
, .SBI
, and .S3M
files, and now features a sequencer window. Toggle between instruments and the sequencer with Tab
, and enjoy playback for .S3M
tracks. Stay tuned for more updates!

- Extract the downloaded archive to your desired directory.
- Run the
start.bat
file to start the editor.

- Load and save AdLib instrument files (
*.INS
and*.SBI
). - Real-time audio preview.

FM Synthesis Editing
- Modify parameters like:
- ADSR Envelopes (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release).
- Tremolo and Vibrato effects.
- Waveforms, Feedback, and more.

tracks - Open Instrument Panel and Switch between Instruments with
Alt + I
Requirements
- DOS or a DOSBox environment.
- Minimum 512 KB of RAM ^^.
- I included DOSBox in the download file!
Usage
- Extract the downloaded archive to your desired directory.
- Run the
start.bat
file to start the editor. - Editor Shortcuts:
F3
: Open an instrument file.F2
: Save the current file.Alt-P
: Open the Piano.Tab
: Toggle between instruments and sequencer (v1.1).
